The Ohio Supreme Court Lawyer's Fund for Client Protection recently awarded more than $200,000 collectively to 35 wards who were victims of theft from their previous guardian. Thirty of the 35 applications, totaling $174,200.00, were submitted by the GSB on behalf of their clients who were improperly charged fees by their guardian. The individual awards range between $1029.50 and $21,083.75. After the awards are distributed the clients will be able to use the money to pay for items they were not previously able to purchase.
